Talend ESB, the application-integration product built on Apache Camel, Apache CXF, and Apache Karaf, was sold for more than a decade and many organizations still run REST and SOAP data services, Camel routes, and Talend Runtime containers built on it. The open-source Talend ESB went away with the retirement of Talend Open Studio in January 2024, and Qlik's roadmap centers on Qlik Talend Cloud and API services rather than the classic Karaf-based runtime. In 2026 the work is support, modernization, and migration, and that is what we offer.
Support and stabilization
- Keeping existing Talend ESB / Talend Runtime environments healthy: Karaf tuning, JVM and dependency upgrades, certificate rotation, and monitoring
- Fixing and extending existing REST and SOAP services, Camel routes, and mediation flows
- Documenting inherited ESB estates so they can be operated by a broader team
Modernization on current Talend
- Rebuilding data services and routes on current Talend Data Fabric / Talend Studio, where the ESB components still live
- Moving service deployment under Talend Management Console
Re-platforming off Talend ESB
- Porting Camel routes to standalone Apache Camel on Spring Boot or Quarkus, which keeps the enterprise integration patterns you already rely on
- Replacing Talend data services with lightweight REST services or API gateways, and migrating message flows to managed brokers
Our ESB background
Our team has built custom RESTful web services, Camel enterprise integration patterns, real-time messaging routes, dynamic mediation, and reusable service patterns on Talend ESB since its early releases, and has installed and managed Talend Runtime in production. That experience is exactly what is needed to move these estates forward safely.
